The company
In 1981 R J Wilson established an Electrical Company in response to the growing need of the market place. The company has since incorporated, as the business has grown in size and expertise. In 1995, the decision was taken to enter into the Mechanical and Electrical Contracting sector, so we brought in a team of Mechanical Engineers.
Over the last four years the company has been involved in numerous major projects, ranging from domestic rewires through to Commercial Installations and new build programs.
Our expertise in Specialist services, managed by trained and qualified staff, ensures that our customer needs are always met – from conceptual design to Installation, through to the planned and preventative maintenance of your systems.
Our company’s simple philosophy allows us to build steadily on an established client base, which includes a number of Local Authorities, building contractors and local production/manufacturing and distribution companies.
We are registered members of the major electrical trade organisations, which have enabled us to keep abreast of the ever-changing technology and regulations.
All R J Wilson’s staff undergo regular training to remain up to date with changes in current regulations and management techniques. All of our engineers hold current ECS/ECS-PMES Health and Safety Passports.
It has become more commonplace for contracts to be awarded to one contractor for both the Mechanical and Electrical parts of the projects. Due to the fact that R J Wilson’s has a well established Mechanical and Electrical Department, we have been able to offer this kind of service and a cost effective package from the very start. This is of particular importance to both client and main contractor as it reduces the hassle of co-ordination and liason between the two different disciplines.
At present we employ a professional team of estimators and site supervisors. A workforce of 12 electricians ranging from technician to electrician. In addition, we have also been running a successful programme of electrical and mechanical apprenticeships in order to ensure a continual flow of talent and to guarantee a bright future for R J Wilson’s and its clients.
We work nationwide and have undertaken projects in Cambridgeshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, London, Northamptonshire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and many other county's.
Our expertise, built from continuous success, means that we can complete projects from £5,000 to £500,000 in the commercial, business, industrial, dealing room, historic and high tech sectors.
We work for the Lindum Group, Local Authorities and Bakkavor Factories to name a few.
